Troops To Teachers (TTT)
The Troops to Teachers (TTT) Program is a national program which provides support services to prepare
individuals for a career in teaching. Soldiers with a baccalaureate degree or higher are eligible to
begin the traditional teaching certification process, however, many Soldiers may also qualify to become
a vocational/technical teacher. Soldiers need only the equivalent of one year of college courses (24
college credits) and six years of experience in a vocational or technical field to begin the certification
Army Credentialing Opportunities On-Line (COOL)
COOL helps Army Soldiers find information on certifications and licenses related to their Military
Occupational Specialties (MOSs). COOL explains how Soldiers can meet civilian certification and license
requirements and provides links to numerous resources to help get them started.
Boots to Business (B2B) is an entrepreneurial education and training program offered by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). The curriculum
provides valuable assistance to transitioning service members exploring self-employment opportunities by leading them through the key steps for
evaluating business concepts and the foundational knowledge required for developing a business plan. Participants are also introduced to SBA
resources available to help access start up capital and additional technical assistance.
Troops to Tractors (TTT)
The Westmoreland Conservation District in Greensburg, PA is seeking transitioning Veterans or current Guard & Reserve members that are looking
for a second career in farming. This opportunity is open to both able-bodied and disabled Veterans. Service Members may be eligible for GI Bill or VA
support for these apprenticeships.
Military Monday - Hire our Heroes SM Initiative
AlliedBarton Security Services' Military Monday program was established in conjunction with our corporate Hire Our HeroesSM initiative. AlliedBarton
offices within the Philadelphia Region (Philadelphia, King of Prussia, Lehigh Valley, S. Jersey, Wilmington) set aside time several Monday's per
month for recruiters to screen, interview and process current and former military personnel. AlliedBarton has positions available from entry level

PA State Civil Service Commission
PASCSC has an ongoing program of Veterans Preference which gives eligible Veterans 10 points on civil service exams as well as other benefits while on hiring lists.
